Kavundampalayam is a locality in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. It is part of the Coimbatore Corporation and is situated approximately about 6 km north of the city centre. The area lies along Mettupalayam Road, one of the city's major arterial roads. As of the 2011 Census, Kavundampalayam had a population of 83,908.
