The funeral for Francis, the first first Latin American pontiff, is set for 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter's Square in The Vatican, with a viewing starting Wednesday in adjacent St. Peter's Basilica, the Associated Press reported.

Archbishop of NY Cardinal Dolan is one of several cardinals from the U.S. eligible to vote in the 2025 conclave to follow after Pope Francis' death.

Dolan used the 45-minute midday Mass to laud the late pontiff as “a gift to be long savored” and “a troubadour of God’s mercy.”
