A pilot for a Holes TV show has been ordered at Disney Plus, Variety reports, but there's a twist – it will follow a group of teenage girls instead of boys.

Disney+ is digging into some nostalgic IP for a new series. The streamer has ordered a pilot episode for a gender-swapped Holes TV series, Entertainment Weekly can confirm. The potential series will be based on Louis Sachar 's 1998 young adult novel of the same name,
