A “Holes” TV series has been ordered to pilot at Disney+, Variety has learned exclusively. The potential show would be based on the book of the same name by Louis Sachar, which was previously adapted into a 2003 feature film by Walt Disney Pictures.

An iconic Disney teen movie is being rebooted into a TV series and has been ordered to pilot by streaming platform Disney+. According to Variety, The Mindy Project's Alina Mankin will serve as a writer and executive producer while Primetime Emmy-award nominated Liz Phang will be the showrunner and also executive produce the Holes remake.
