Maruti Suzuki is developing a seven-seat version of the Grand Vitara which could also benefit from the strong hybrid technology.

Japanese carmaker Suzuki Motor has trimmed its sales target in India, its "most important market", and scaled back its line-up of electric car launches, even as it plans to expand global sales by a third to 4.

Maruti Suzuki has reduced its India sales target to 2.54 million units per annum from 3.25 million estimated earlier by FY30, but the production target of 4 million units remains intact.
