If “Sweet Magnolias” fans are lucky enough to see a fifth season of the series, the next installment of episodes would likely explore Maddie’s new life in New York City (if she actually does decide to move forward with the new job). Wedding bells would likely be in the air for Helen and Erik, making that a focal point of a potential next season.

Opening Shot: Helen (Heather Headley) pops a bottle of bubbly and pours three glasses, one for herself, one for Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher) and one for Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott). Because if there’s one thing these ladies love, it’s a toast. It’s just what they do!

If the show were to be renewed for another season, it's likely we could see it as early as next year. The third season of Sweet Magnolias was released in July 2023, just a year and a half after season two's release in February 2022.
