Sam Haskell Jr., the son of a prominent television producer, died by suicide just days before his preliminary hearing to determine whether he should stand trial for allegedly dismembering his wife and killing her parents,

Samuel Haskell, 37, was accused of dismembering his wife and his in-laws. He was the son of Sam Haskell III, an Emmy-winning film producer and veteran talent agent.

Samuel Bond Haskell, 37, was arrested in November 2023 in connection with the killings of his wife, Mei Haskell, her mother, Yanxiang Wang, and her stepfather, Gaoshan Li. He had pleaded not guilty to the murder charges and was being held without bail pending trial.
