The Running Man, in which economically desperate people participate in a deadly game show, was first published in 1982 by one Richard Bachman, the fourth of an eventual seven of Bachman's novels. At the time of its release, no one knew this was a pseudonym.

Paramount Pictures dropped the trailer for The Running Man, and it’s filled with chaos, explosions, and a side of humor. The film is both a Stephen King novel adaptation and a remake of a 1987 film of the same title.

It's another bumper year for Stephen King adaptations, and in particular novels he wrote under his pen name.
