Severe storms located along a line from Hanover to Castleton are moving northeast at 40 miles per hour. The line of strong storms is getting closer to the Chicago area. The storm system is still set to arrive around 10 p.m. or 11 p.m.

Severe thunderstorms capable of producing “destructive winds” with gusts of 70 miles per hour or higher is forecasted to move across the area late Friday evening into the early overnight hours.
