Archbishop of NY Cardinal Dolan is one of several cardinals from the U.S. eligible to vote in the 2025 conclave to follow after Pope Francis' death.

The funeral for Francis, the first first Latin American pontiff, is set for 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter's Square in The Vatican, with a viewing starting Wednesday in adjacent St. Peter's Basilica, the Associated Press reported.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the Archbishop of New York, makes some lists of candidates to be the next Pope. He would be the first American Pope if selected. The next Pope is a mystery and will be chosen by a conclave of cardinals.
