There's a lot at stake in the 2024 general election. Voters will make their choice in the highly contentious presidential race. Indiana will pick its next governor and Kentucky will decide on some controversial amendments. In both states, polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 6 p.m., local time.

People in Kentucky can buy alcohol on Election Day. According to Kentucky law, authorized sellers are “permitted to sell and deliver distilled spirits and wine during the hours the polls are open on any primary, or regular, local option, or special election day.” The only exception, however, is if you live in a dry county.
