Acting DOGE office administrator Amy Gleason, who has said in court that Elon Musk does not work in her office, was nowhere to be found.

Elon Musk may be getting out of DOGE. On Thursday, Musk said he plans to step down from his role in Donald Trump’s administration this spring. The head of Tesla and X owner said he plans on stepping down in May during a Fox News interview with six members of his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team.

Musk tells Fox News that DOGE will probably complete its work by the end of May. It comes as his companies face increasing backlash and an announcement that xAI will acquire X.
