Antoine Fuqua's upcoming Michael Jackson biopic may be split into two movies and will likely push its current Oct. 3 release date.

Producer Graham King is mulling a new reality for the project, but the idea is in early stages and would require sign-off from multiple partners, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

Lionsgate didn’t show footage for Michael yesterday since all these decisions are up in the air for the film which stars Jackson’s nephew and Jermaine Jackson’s son Jaafar in the title role.
