The most diverse battleground state, Nevada has more registered nonpartisan voters than Democrats or Republicans, and Democrats have been winning presidential elections here by smaller and smaller margins. The relatively small number of electoral votes make it less likely to be decisive.

The vote center at the University of Nevada, Reno finally closed after 9 p.m. Polls closed at 7 p.m., but Nevada law allows anyone in line by that time to cast a ballot. On the big national election maps show as of 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, Nevada is a slowpoke.

Voters across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware are headed to the polls Tuesday to make their voices heard in the 2024 election for president and several key races in each state.
