Tuesday night's game between the St. Paul Saints and the Iowa Cubs, Chicago's Triple-A affiliate, was Banner's first trip to Principal Park. Banner is in his first season as the club's farm director.

The banner, created by a non-profit organization hosting a Juneteenth event, reads, “an upstate celebration of freedom, unity and love,” showing an image of a white man and woman.

This time a year ago, Banner joined the Cubs as VP of special projects. He utilized his time learning different areas within the organization and getting to know the Cubs staff and players.
