Protests were held across the country to mark the five-year anniversary of John Lewis's death and protest policies of the Trump Administration.

Lewis, who served as U.S. Representative from Georgia for more than 30 years until his death in 2020, frequently invoked the phrase “good trouble” during his public service career.

“We are facing the most brazen rollback of civil rights in generations,” a graphic on the Good Trouble Lives On website says.

Hundreds of people gathered Thursday evening at Daley Plaza as part of the city’s “Good Trouble Lives On” protest, a reference to the late civil rights leader and congressman John Lewis.
