Two-time tournament champion Australia has named their preliminary 15-player squad for the ICC Men's Champions Trophy, headlined by the return of their captain.

Australia named Aaron Hardie and Matt Short in the 15-man preliminary squad. There is still a doubt of Pat Cummins' participation in Champions Trophy 2025.

Both Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood have been included despite being rested for the tour of Sri Lanka and carrying fitness concerns, with the former also on paternity leave at the moment for the birth of his second child.
