Joe Burrow became the NFL’s second two-time Comeback Player of the Year winner Thursday. The award, voted on by the Associated Press, was announced during the 14th annual NFL Honors ceremony, heading into Super Bowl weekend.

Joe Burrow took the Comeback Player of the Year award after returning from wrist surgery in 2023 to lead the NFL with 4,918 yards passing and 43 touchdown passes.

Damar Hamlin was beat out by a decorated quarterback for Comeback Player of the Year for the second straight season.

The NFL Honors red carpet is open ahead of the AP awards show that will announced the league's MVP among other awards. New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton and Cleveland Browns quarterback Jameis Winston were among the first players to style and profile on the carpet Thursday.

To win the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year, Burrow beat out Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold, Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins, New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez and Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin.
