St. Bernard Parish officials anticipate the parishwide boil water advisory in affect to be lifted Sunday afternoon, authorities said in a Saturday morning press release.

The advisory, issued Thursday, Jan. 23, is precautionary for Kalamazoo water customers within the affected area of East H Avenue, 28th Street and Hunters Run. The advisory affects only drinking water.

Marietta Water has issued a boil water advisory after a water main break on Lawrence Street near Covington Avenue caused portions of the water system to lose pressure on Friday night. Marietta officials said on Sunday that additional water main breaks also happened at Lakewood Drive and Parkview Drive but did not require a boil water advisory or pose a concern about water safety in the area.
