For hundreds of thousands of people every year who dream of studying or researching in the United States, a student visa is the golden ticket.

From Stanford to Harvard, more than 1,000 international students across 160 colleges have had their visas or legal status revoked since March, according to the Associated Press.

Ten students – two who were currently attending and seven recent graduates — at Kent State University have now lost their visas, which is up from four last week, according to the university. Three UA students – up from two last week – are facing this issue, the university says.
