There is at least one casualty after a helicopter crash at a major airport tonight. All runways have been shutdown and all departures and landings have been halted at the DCA Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

The collision occurred around 9 p.m. EST on Wednesday when the jet was making it's approach to Reagan National Airport, according to local officials.

Later on, just before 11:30 a.m., the President delivered remarks about the crash to press in the White House briefing room. He was joined by Vice President J.D. Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy.
