Victor Wembanyama is officially an NBA All-Star. The San Antonio Spurs center was voted to his first All-Star Game on Thursday as a reserve for the Western Conference. It was a historic selection for Wembanyama, who becomes the youngest player in franchise history to be named an All-Star.

The San Antonio star and reigning rookie of the year is an All-Star for the first time, one of the 14 players announced Thursday night as members of the reserve pool for the Feb. 16 event in San Francisco.

"It's very possible that he'll be the face of basketball. Not just NBA basketball, but world basketball," said Pacers coach Rick Carlisle.

Former Spurs point guard Tony Parker explained the steep contrast between his teams and the current San Antonio team.
