A big part of Saleh's struggles with the Jets came from his inability to find solutions at the quarterback position, as well as offensive coordinator. New York never finished with an offense that was ranked over the bottom third of the league in any year led by Saleh.

The Jaguars have requested an interview with Saleh for their head coach vacancy, the team announced Tuesday. Saleh is one of eight candidates on the team’s initial list, which includes hot names in Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and Detroit defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.
