Houston is preparing for a historic winter storm expected to bring up to 6 inches of snow, a rare event not seen in decades.

Clouds will be on the increase throughout the day Saturday, with a few showers possible early. There's a better chance for showers Saturday evening and Saturday night. Temperatures will climb to the low to middle 60s by Saturday afternoon.

HOUSTON - Skies will be clear on Friday, but rain chances increase heading into the weekend. With wake up temperatures near freezing, keep an eye out for the last few icy spots on the roads. Skies remain clear with highs in the 50s.
