There is a wildcard at every wedding, but in the case of "You're Cordially Invited," there are two. And they are played by Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon. Now streaming on Prime, the film directed by Nicholas Stoller centers on two families who unknowingly double book their weddings at the same small inn — an inn that can really only accommodate one wedding.

Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon are ready to play, and “You’re Cordially Invited” has its moments, which is enough, probably, for home viewers in a five-or-six-laughs-will-do frame of mind. The comedy, written and directed by Nicholas Stoller, premieres Jan. 30 directly to Prime Video.

“You’re Cordially Invited” comes out on Thursday, January 30. The movie will be streaming on Prime Video beginning at 3:00 a.m. ET on the 30th. It's a sign of the times that a good, old-fashioned date movie featuring two of the most bankable movie stars of the early aughts, Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell, is bypassing theaters altogether in early 2025.
