A Texas second grader died Friday following a "tragic accident" at a school drop-off area, police said. According to the Borger Police Department, first responders were called to Gateway Elementary around 8 a.m. after a student's coat got caught in a car door as they got out of the vehicle.

"Our hearts go out to all those affected by this horrible accident as they navigate this devastating loss," the Borger Police Department said.
