S AN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Chula Vista Mayor John McCann has conceded to his opponent, Imperial Beach Mayor Paloma Aguirre, in the race for the District 1 seat on the County Board of Supervisors.

Aguirre is expected to be sworn in to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors by late July following a strong election night lead.

T oday, Tuesday July 1, is the final day to vote in the special general election being held for San Diego County’s First Supervisorial District.
