A Seattle-based team that contributed to development on the popular online action game Marvel Rivals has reportedly been dismissed

Last night, Marvel Rivals developer NetEase Games laid off an unspecified number of staff from its Seattle design team. This included one of the game's directors, Thaddeus Sasser, who posted about the layoffs on his LinkedIn page. "My stellar, talented team just helped deliver an incredibly successful new franchise," he said.

China’s NetEase laid off its Seattle development team for Marvel Rivals on February 18. Multiple developers from the studio announced the sudden layoffs, but the company did not offer an explanation.
