The White House is touting a “very successful” immigration enforcement operation so far across the country. The raids continue as the U.S. narrowly avoided a trade war with Colombia over migrant deportations.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt made her briefing debut on Tuesday, where she sparred with reporters over a federal freeze on grants and made clear that President Donald Trump himself will be the administration's main messenger.

As immigration raids and arrests continued across the U.S., the White House press secretary said the administration considers all undocumented migrants criminals.

The White House emphasized that the Trump administration views all immigrants who are in the country illegally to be "criminals" who should be deported. "They illegally broke our nation's laws, therefore they are criminals.
