The Dallas Stars will return one of their top forwards to the lineup when they take on the Carolina Hurricanes at home Tuesday night. Stars coach Pete DeBoer announced Tuesday morning that center Roope Hintz is ready to return after suffering an upper-body injury a week ago against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Hintz scored a power-play goal in Friday's 4-3 win over the Golden Knights. Hintz found the back of the net in the first period shortly after Jack Eichel opened the scoring for the Golden Knights, giving him 20 on the year.
He left the game after just fourt shifts and 2:27 of ice time. The Stars said their leading scorer is dealing with an upper body injury. With Hintz not on the bench, Wyatt Johnston is filling in for Dallas’ star forward on the top line.
Stars: Robertson’s second multigoal game of the season gave him 17, three behind Hintz. The club’s team leader answered Eichel’s game-opening goal with his 20th, also on the power play, in the first period.
