Brendan Fraser & Rachel Weisz Reunite For Mummy 4

If the pair sign on, it'll reunite them more than 25 years after their last on-screen partnership. Frasier and Weisz starred as Rick O'Connell and Evelyn Carnahan in 1999 classic The Mummy and its 2001 sequel The Mummy Returns. However, while Frasier returned for 2008's The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, Weisz wasn't part of its cast.
Rumors of the fourth installment come eight years after Universal Pictures tried to revive the franchise with a movie by the same name in 2017, starring Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Jake Annabelle Wallis and Russell Crowe. The movie was seen as a box office failure, only grossing $410 million worldwide, according to Forbes.
The Mummy has been tarnished in recent years, thanks mostly to the ill-fated Tom Cruise spectacle of almost a decade ago, but that hasn’t stopped Blumhouse, James Wan, and Lee Cronin coming together to revive the ancient franchise in a new form…and apparently under a new title.
