As parts of Texas continue to recover from severe flooding, the Dallas Cowboys are doing their part by offering a sizable donation for relief efforts.

The Dallas Cowboys announced on Sunday an official donation following the flash flooding that took place in Texas over the weekend. Heavy flash flooding took place in the Texas Hill Country over the weekend.

The Dallas Cowboys on Sunday announced they were making a donation towards flood recovery efforts in Central Texas.

Dallas Cowboys star returner KaVontae Turpin was arrested on weapon and marijuana charges in Allen, Texas on Sunday morning, according to Collin County court records obtained by CBS News. Turpin was booked for possession of marijuana and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

Dallas Cowboys All-Star KaVontae Turpin was arrested by Allen police in Texas on Saturday, ESPN reports. Turpin, 28, is facing two misdemeanor charges from the arrest. He was booked on charge of possession of marijuana (less than two ounces) and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
