A Wheaton man accused of stealing lottery tickets from multiple suburban convenience stores, including one in Elmhurst, will remain in custody until his next court date, DuPage County officials said.
DuPage County prosecutors said the man convinced a 7-Eleven clerk to let him get warm inside the store, then stole $730 in scratch-off tickets when the clerk later went into the back cooler.
