An earthquake shook part of Paramus, New Jersey on Friday. Initial reports from the U.S. Geological Survey indicate a 2.4 magnitude quake in Bergen County hit shortly before 1:30 p.m. The USGS reporting tool shows people experienced "light" to "moderate" effects.

The magnitude 2.4 earthquake was centered near Paramus, according to the USGS, and occurred around 1 p.m. It comes more than nine months after a magnitude 4.8 earthquake shook Tewksbury Township and surrounding areas.

Molina lives about 20 minutes from where the earthquake was centered near Paramus, New Jersey. The U.S. Geological Survey gave the quake an initial rating of 2.4 magnitude. It happened just after 1 p.m. Paramus is about 17 miles north of New York City.
