Virgil Thew, the Wisconsin man charged and wanted for three counts of first-degree intentional homicide, has been taken into custody.

The manhunt for the suspect in a triple homicide has been arrested, according to the Juneau County Sheriff's Office. Virgil Thew, 47, was found Thursday and taken into custody in the city of Elroy. The New Lisbon Police Department said the Juneau County Communication Center received a call about a suspicious person in Elroy just before noon.

Virgil Thew is charged with three counts of first-degree intentional homicide for the death of Elizabeth Kolba, 33, and two girls, ages 12 and 13.

Virgil G. Thew is charged in the shooting deaths of a woman and two girls in New Lisbon. State and federal authorities continue to search for Thew.

The New Lisbon Police Department posted an update Monday as law enforcement continues its search for a suspect in a triple homicide.

Virgil Thew, 47, of New Lisbon, who is wanted in the deaths of his girlfriend, stepdaughter and her friend, was seen at a Dollar General in New Lisbon on Sunday, the day before the bodies of the three were found in a home in the city. The suspect charged in a triple homicide in New Lisbon last Monday has been apprehended by authorities.
