STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. --Congestion pricing has been in place for over a month now, and although its future remains up in the air after President Donald Trump outlined ways he might end the program, the initiative has changed the commuting landscape for many in New York City.

President Trump is said to be moving closer to pulling the plug on congestion pricing​, but is still in ongoing talks with Gov. Kathy Hochul.

In Morning Consult's survey of 1,200 registered voters, 6 out of 10 New Yorkers say President Trump should allow the controversial tolling plan to continue. It has been about a month since congestion pricing went into effect, and driving around the city has gotten more expensive, but some drivers say they are having an easier time moving around.

In an interview with The New York Post, President Trump said that congestion pricing hurt New York City but indicated that he was still talking with Gov. Kathy Hochul.

President Trump is attempting to make good on a campaign promise to kill New York City’s congestion pricing program, but the mechanism for ending it remains unclear.
