Do not green light a season 3. The whole reason we didn’t get a Halo movie was because Microsoft wanted to make sure the lore was respected. Halo was made for the big screen it’s a nonstop action packed sci fi. Tv shows introduce to much drama and filler episodes. Budgets and props do not even come close to movie counter parts.

Halo The Fall of Reach Animated: Made in 2015 in the lead up to Halo 5 to give non book reads a brief introduction to Blue Team. Follows the first 3rd of the book, The Fall of Reach. Halo: Legends is a fun watch if you're cool with artistic licence and anime tropes. Halo: Forward Unto Dawn is a neat primer to Lasky's character in Halo 4, but personally I would say most of it is okay military school drama type stuff while the part really worth watching is at the end when the school is attacked.

Dec 30, 2023 · Watch Halo: Landfall before playing Halo 3 and Forward Unto Dawn before playing Halo 4. The rest don't really matter. Legends is pretty cool and I'd recommend watching it after playing Halo 3 since it has some cool forerunner lore, but most of it is questionably canon.

Halo 2's opening is SOOOO good at introducing all relevant characters in a way that doesn't insult the viewer's intelligence. The only ones it misses are Half-Jaw and The Gravemind, but they have their moments later. Also, I'll make my obligatory statement I make in most Halo movie threads. Don't bother adapting the game trilogy.
