Dec 18, 2016 · The newer surgery called fractional iliopsoas lengthening, is different in that they never sever the tendon from the bone. Instead, they make multiple small cuts to the tendon to release some of the tension and it's able to heal lengthening the tendon overall, so that in theory, the tight tendon isn't getting aggravated rubbing over the acetabular.

Apr 27, 2015 · If you have groin pain after a THR investigate if it is your psoas muscle and Iliopsoas Tendinitis. Your physical therapist should be able to easily find your psoas muscle and push down and you will recognize that is where the pain is coming from.

I’m 4 months post hip revision surgery; importantly the revision included a psoas release. I asked my surgeon explicitly, did he completely cut the psoas; his answer was yes.

Did have an xray but didn't show an impingement or anything out of ordinary. Hoping to have an MRI to see if that shows anything. My unop hip has also deteriorated from moderate to servere.
